The hostel is superbly located in the heart of Macrossan Street, with views over the town and easy access to everything you need. The guest lounge with cable TV and fully equipped kitchen and laundry are great facilities that make your stay comfortable. The Rattle n Hum Bar serves delicious wood-fired pizzas, steak, and salad, along with a wide range of drinks. The property offers a communal lounge with a modern kitchen, perfect for meeting fellow travelers. The hostel provides both shared and private rooms, some with en-suite bathrooms.
Small rooms for the price.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel in this city. The architecture was inspiring, with a light, comfortable, and clean design. The facilities were top-notch, with everything a backpacker could ask for. The free shuttle service to and from this city and another city was a great way to save money, and the $10 dinner vouchers at the bar/restaurant downstairs were a real treat. The kitchen and cooking facilities were outstanding, and it was only a 5-minute walk to the Pacific for a swim. The supermarket was also conveniently located in the opposite direction towards the river.
No complaints.

Convenient location and comfortable bed. The air conditioning in the room was adjustable and the blinds effectively blocked out light. We enjoyed the central location, which was just a short walk to 4-mile beach. Despite being on the road, it was surprisingly quiet.

I absolutely loved the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of Global Backpackers Port Douglas. The decor had a charming vintage touch, with comfy armchairs and colorful paintings adorning the common areas. It felt like a warm and inviting home away from home for senior travelers like myself. The hotel's central location on the main road made it incredibly convenient for exploring the town and accessing everything I needed during my stay.
The only thing I would suggest for a better vacation for senior people is to have more assistance available at the hotel. It would have been helpful to have staff members who could provide recommendations for local activities and help with any special needs that seniors might have.

Conveniently located in the heart of the town, making it easy to explore all the nearby attractions. The common areas were regularly cleaned and provided a great space to socialize and meet other travelers. The dorm rooms were small but cozy, with a maximum of four beds, ensuring minimal space and a more intimate atmosphere. Plus, the bathrooms were decent and the overall living area was satisfactory.
There were a few downsides to my stay. there was a lack of staff presence at the reception desk, resulting in delays and inconvenience during check-in.

We had a private room with a clean and tidy bathroom. The adjustable air-con panel was a helpful feature. The location was central, just a 5-minute walk to the beautiful 4-mile beach. Despite being in the heart of town, the noise from outside was minimal. I would recommend this hotel for budget accommodation in the area.

I recently stayed at a hostel that had an exceptional location. It was just a few minutes walk from the beach and Anzac Park, and there was a supermarket conveniently located only 3 minutes away. The common area was also a great place to relax and meet fellow travelers. The air conditioning in the rooms was amazing and provided a comfortable stay. Additionally, the parking around the back of the hostel was really decent. I highly recommend this hostel to any backpacker passing through or visiting the area.
